The
Lewisham Film Initiative has been launched to encourage and inspire
the borough's filmmaking community through regular screenings,
competitions and networking events. See below for this summer's
projects and click on the following link for the latest screenings news.
The Lewisham
Film Initiative Production Fund
was launched in early October 2005. It is open
to all filmmakers who live, work or study full time in the Borough
of Lewisham. Grants of up to £2000 will be awarded to filmmakers
to make or exhibit new work. Applications will be judged by an
experienced panel of media professionals.
The Third LFI Production Fund is now open for applications. In memory of the 200th anniversary of the abolition of slavery, and, closer to home, the 25th anniversary of the tragedy of the New Cross Fire, the July to September fund will be dedicated to Black History Month in collaboration with The Community Channel.
